Algebra Two and You!
By taking Algebra in high school, many students benefit from learning new formulas and ways of math. Math is a type of subject that you will need to use throughout your life. Although there are some chapters in algebra that we will never have to use again, many things are used in an everyday lifestyle and students do not realize it. The skills that you learn can better you for your future. An example of this is story problems. As if you go to the store to buy food and you want to see if buying two smaller containers of one thing is cheaper than buying one larger container, this is algebra. Another example is knowing how much money you have to spend in your pocket, with the things that will most benefit you of buying at reasonable prices. Algebra is used in an everyday lifestyle
Another way algebra benefits you in life is taking the ACT and for future reference with college. If you want to do well on the ACT you better know your algebra. One whole section on the ACT is based on math, which is mostly based on Algebra. Now about college, when you apply to college you're most likely going to have to take a basic math class. This would bring us back to Algebra. Many people take Algebra in college just like they take it in high school. Knowing that you already took it, it will not be as hard as it was when you first learned it.
The final way that Algebra benefits you in life is if you choose a job that uses math and many math formulas. Some typical jobs that include Algebra are being an accountant, math-based engineering, and some pharmacists(measuring dosages compared to body type of person). Overall Algebra benefits you in many ways and will be used throughout your life.
